Our journey commenced in 1960 in the city of Dikernes, initially focused on trading various grains. In 1990, our esteemed founder, Father Fathi Faroun (may God have mercy on him), embarked on the establishment of our first private modern rice mill. This milestone was realized in 1994, marking the inception of the first BUHLER rice mill in the Middle East under the banner of Al-Farana Company. With this modern facility, we began exporting Egyptian rice worldwide, laying the foundation for our industrial endeavors.

To adapt to evolving industry standards, in 2005, we inaugurated an industrial complex spanning 20,000 square meters in Gamasa industrial city. This complex included a rice mill, packing facility, and silos, bolstering our production capabilities and facilitating efficient operations. In 2012, recognizing the market demand, we expanded our facility to process a diverse range of pulses and grains, further diversifying our product portfolio.

In 2022, seizing an opportunity in the feed industry amidst the burgeoning growth of fish farming, particularly in Egypt aligning with Egypt Vision 2030, we ventured into fish feed manufacturing. Leveraging state-of-the-art technology, we commenced fish feed production in January 2023, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our journey. This pilot year symbolizes our commitment to innovation and staying at the forefront of industry trends, as we continue to strive for excellence in serving our customers and contributing to the advancement of Egypt’s agricultural sector.
